Tips To Ensure Your Granite Maintains In Prestine Condition
Wipe down granite surfaces regularly with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with warm water and a mild dish soap. This helps to remove surface dirt, grime, and spills. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads as they can scratch the surface.
When cleaning granite, avoid using harsh chemicals, acidic cleaners, or abrasive substances, as they can damage the surface and strip away the sealant. Instead, stick to mild, pH-balanced cleaners specifically formulated for natural stone surfaces.
Accidental spills should be cleaned up immediately to prevent them from seeping into the granite and causing stains. Blot the spill with a clean cloth or paper towel rather than wiping, as wiping can spread the spill and potentially drive it deeper into the stone.
While granite is a durable material, heavy impacts or excessive weight can cause chips, cracks, or fractures. Avoid dropping heavy objects on granite surfaces and be cautious when moving heavy items across them.
